Weekend catchup
Chirstmas shopping is almost done! Me and my fiance always go shopping together on one night while my parents keep the kids. We find this time to be very special and it means a lot to us. I have to say it’s the one time of the year we look forward to the most. We don’t go far or do anything extravagant but the time together just the two of us is priceless. Lastnight was that night. We went to few cities close by just to make the shopping a little different and to look at different Christmas lights. Of course we’ve taken this same road trip for the past two years going to the same two cities but lastnight we got lost for an hour. (smile) As we all know men will not ask for directions so we continued to be lost until he found the way out. It was a nice ride though and a good time spent talking and laughing. When we finally got to the stores we realized that we have no idea what to get our 11 year old son. He’s always been so easy to shop for but this year with money being so tight and his wants going up in price it was hard to find him anything. The girls of course were pretty simple to shop for and thankfully their gifts can be found for five and ten dollars. We found some really great gifts and even got to see SANTA! That’s right we saw santa at roses! I was hoping to take the kids to see Santa this year but we can never find one around here any more.
All in all this weekend has been a pretty good weekend and I think my kids will be pretty happy on Chirstmas. Thankfully they all know that it doesn’t matter what you get or how much you get that there are so many little boys and girls going without this year they are happy for everything anyone does for them.
