Meal time Monday!

Published by ncmom at 5:59 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

We just had our first football game this weekend. It was the hottest day in weeks, the game started thirty minutes late which put the boys out there an hour and a half in the heat before the game even started. Our boys were tired, their little faces were blood red and their hair was soaked by the time the game started. We lost the game but not because our boys didn’t try. I really don’t think they put their all into playing but given how hot it was and how drained they were before the game began I think they did extremely well. All I was doing was standing on the sidelines and I was ready to pass out. After the game we decided to go out to eat as a treat for our son. We were very proud of him, even while a lot of the other kids were fussing and complaining he never once gave up or whined about anything. He knew what he went out there to do and he did it, for that he got a treat. We decided to go eat Chinese food which was wonderful until we got the bill. It’s crazy how expensive food is right now!  I’ve decided that from now on we will do something fun and creative around the house to make football game day special. I went searching online for a few recipes and found some really cute ideas on CDKitchen.
